Count your blessings!

Another year is going to end and this is the best time to looked back and count all the blessings that we had this year.

Time flies…whew…that’s pretty sure, but are we thankful of what has GOD done to us?

Many people would only want to know how much money does the company deposit into their account? Or how many gifts they had received?

But for me, I have many blessings this year, not just material that can fade but the encouragement, love and support of those people whom help us to overcome that time of our need. God knows your heart and I am really thankful for their kind heart.
The count down will start tomorrow……

London Vacation- take two

It's been a week since we arrived in London for another vacation at the same time for another purpose. We arrived at Heathrow airport 20minutes earlier than the ETA arrival. The weather supposed to be hot because it is summer time but somehow the weather was cooling. Oh no.....we didn't bring any jacket and our luggage was full of summer clothing...anyway, we arrived at my mom's house at 9pm....we are all very tired and with jetlag.

the first night was good with 16 degrees C temperature.

the following day was sunday, and we're all off to go to attend the 11am service in Metropolitan Tabernacle which is also known as Spurgeons Church, but unfortunately there was a heavy traffic and we would not able to reach there before 11am. So, the plan was change and we moved to Westminster, since it was Jing first time to London. We visited the Big Ben and the Londn eye. Took some shot and proceed to the Tower Bridge. Had our lunch near the Tower of London then since we felt very cold, we decided to see the Tower Bridge and bought the ticket to see inside. We didn't had the chance to see this place during last year visit.

The engine room was fantastic, imagine in those days were the technology wasn't that advanced the engineer whom designed the tower were so intelligent and blessed with that kind of powerful mind, Thank GOD for that talent and we are able to see this beautiful place.

This week, we had full activities, we visited the palaces, another round for Natural history museum and the science museum where we had watched the IMAX for outer space and the Deep sea. Angel was very happy and blessed to had this opportunity and experienced to see these wonderful places.

Thursday, we visited the Windsor castle, Stonehenge and the Bath Abbey. The tour was very good and I like the most was the Windsor castle. Angel had asked her daddy"

Angel: wow all the things and even the gates are pure gold, daddy is GOD also rich?
Dad: of course in the Bible, GOD has promise that even the road and the mansion that HE prepared for us are made of GOLD>>>

I love that moment because in every place and experiences she has, she always thank GOD and us for these blessings.

Friday, was tiring but not boring, we went to see the Hampton Court, one of the palaces here in London. The place was quite far but it was not crowded so we enjoyed the tour and time we spent there. I love the garden and the history behind all the happenings on that palace.

Saturday, we spent whole day in Legoland Windsor. The place was huge and we didn't had chance to ride all the rides and activities. But, the first pit stop was enjoyable, the viking rides really rock the boat and we were wet due to the spurting waters from the top. Funny thing was, when we almost reach to the place where there's a fountain and spraying the water, mama open the big umbrella....hehehe...we were the only one who bring umbrella and cover us not to get wet....

Angel was so brave when we took the jungle coaster ride. it was comparable to the sky loop in Enchanted kingdom...but when we're inside and passed thru the high loop she felt scared and called me....so to calmed her down we just said that was GOOD!!! and she immediately recovered.

Happiest moment....but sad when we reach home because she had high fever.

to be cont.....

Passport to heaven

Friday afternoon, i had meeting with one of our CM. THough I was really disappointed with the response, we still proceed for the discussion and ended after an hour. Then, the guy ask me, are you a christian right? then, of course I replied YES!! and why????

He asked me if i have 5 mins to listen to his story, though I am really very busy I gave him a chance....It was the story of the guys who has been friends for quite sometime, one being a good guy and ther other was bad guy. He started to fold the paper and tear one by one as the story goes. BTW the paper was the passport to heaven that was given by the good guy to the bad guy. After he tear it was group into two and the outcome was word of HELL and the sign of Cross. He said that Jesus CHRIST died on the cross for the christians, and this is where I corrected him according to the BIBLE, Jesus CHRIST died on the cross to save the soul of the First Man who was created till the last person who will be born.

I had the chance to share with him the way of salvation from the beginning to revelation. Then suddenly, I had this feeling that I am on fire again to share the gospel.

I felt really down lately due to the increasing turnover from our department. early this year when one of our coleague resigned and just after 2 months for the replacement and he also decided to quit. Sigggghhhhhh.....then just last friday I received the info that another colleague requested for a lateral transfer to another department.........hayyyyyyyy....

Ang hindi ko naman maintindihan e kung bakit di man lang natitinag ang aming amo at nagpapasalamat pa......palibhasa di sya nahihirapan mag train ng tao....

But, heheheh...the store haven't finish....after my conversation with the guy who share the passport to heaven I realize one thing, sharing may not happen only from our company but I could also reach out in other area.......yeheyyyy... thank GOD for that encouragement.......

Reward

Last Saturday we went to Carrefour and purchased the set of roller blades and tables for our daughter. As daddy was doing the assembly the little girl was so excited to use the table. She took all her PACES and arrange the nicely, gather some old books that she likes to read and the pencil case. We’re laughing as she run to take all those things and quickly place inside the cabinet. And when the table was set she quickly told her Dad “thank you Daddy for buying me this table, I love you”. Wow, so sweet.

Sunday night, we also let her tried the roller blades and fixed all the safety gears for her head, knees and elbows, there was one more gear that I placed on her buttocks to protect her when she fall…hahaha…she do not want to wear kasi we are all laughing as she looked like the duck with flabby buttocks…later she was convinced to wear.

We let her walked and glide for about 12 rounds and went up home after an hour. As she was resting, I asked if she was happy for the blessings and reward, and explained that she got it because of the good results on her grades for the 1st half of school year. Then I asked her, if the 2nd half is better than the first what kind of reward she wanted to receive?

The answer was” I want a baby sister or a baby brother” hwaaaa…..that was something I could not buy or produced without the blessing from GOD….
But we could start praying….six months still long enough to meet the request….and need to work hard…….

Thank God that my little lady is growing with mature mind and she's really looking forward to have siblings.....

Better pray harder and fast for this little request....

Father's Day

happy father's day to my Honey!

He's a good father to my daughter
He's a loving and thoughtful husband
He stand as a brother and a father to my in-laws
He's patient enough to teach my daughter without raising his husky and low base voice...hehehe...
He makes tea for me every night and early in the morning
He teach Angel how to play piano and patiently brought her to music class.

15th June, we went to Sapphire and brought our daughter for swimming and at the same time invited one of our family friends to join us, that was after the Sunday service. I baked creamy cheese cake for Father's day celebration and everybody who likes cheese, like it.....Thank God that the cake was successful....hehehe...though it was the easiest cake i've ever made...

we also cooked salmon pasta and prepared ceasar's salad and juice for dinner and brought them all to our small gathering... the kids like the pasta and they were all hungry after jumping up and down to the pool...

it was a meaningful Sunday and Father's day event although hubby felt really sleepy that afternoon...

Farewell Party

Last Friday, my family and 3 other n@wsg friends had bbq party and I noticed that, not only the adult enjoyed the bonding even our kids. We met because one of our friend’s family is leaving for good and moving to OZ. The food was great, we had the delicious cheese cupcake, pork bbq, salmon and cod skewers, prawn, dessert like pichi-pichi, kutsinta, leche plan and fish ball. We had a delightful dinner followed by never ending chit chat. We almost forgot the time, and leave our friends house at 1am.

We felt sad and incomplete as our group became lesser and lesser. Three (3) of them migrate to US and OZ…….but then that’s life….friends come and go but they leave footprints in our life…..

Latest happenings

Been busy lately, I had too many things to write and blog but run out of time.

Two weeks ago was the VBS week and only had one day to help up due to work. As usual the favorite request from kids was our famous Filipino dish “sopas”. They like the creamy macaroni with a plenty of chicken and vegetables. At the same time the sopas was made partner with cheese cake. The weather was drizzling at first but when the kiddo was up to play the game, GOD hear our prayers and gave us sunshine at 4pm.
Got to rushed for my daughter piano lesson afterwards.

The most amazing thing about the VBS was the children who was happily learning the WORD of GOD and enjoying the games. We were thankful for the help of all the Teacher’s and member who contributed to the event.

Here's my latest creation......
It took months to publish them due to tight schedule.....

One of my favorite is the LO title Long Hair for Angel. I had the hard time fixing the flower ribbon and later decided to saw them instead of using brads to secure. I am happy with the results.

More to come as I am finishing my Vacation Album "London"......

Chinese Art painting

Angel joined the Chinese Art painting organize by HLC. At first, I thought it will very difficult kasi whenever she had Chinese homework eh halos ayaw nya gawin, medyo mahirap rin kasi at dahil left handed sya.

Two weeks na sya nag-aattend at happy naman ako sa kanyang art. One of our brethren told us that she wanted to quit and felt nervous when her shirt got stain, but then after the second cyle everything was fine.

She drawn a beautiful flower and vase with notes below I love You Mommy. When she came back home, very excited sya ipinakita sa kin yun gift daw nya. Thankful talaga ko na she have grown so fast and with this kind of achievements. Simple lang naman yun drawing pero flattered ako at appreciative kasi laging I love mommy ang sinusulat. Minsan tuloy sabi ko sa kanya dapat I love daddy rin....she just smile and said next time I will draw for Daddy.

I am planning to frame the painting and print her pictures and journal some words...hopefully this week....

Fruitful message

We had the fruitful events yesterday to celebrate Mother’s Day.
We were blessed with the message from the Sunday school service as well as the Worship Service. Some of us felt like in the frying pan because of guilt and some could be grateful for the wake up message. The passage was taken from the book of Proverbs 31:10.

The Father's and mens from our church has presented a special no. Rejoice in the Lord, this song is really meaningful....

Suddenly, I look back 5 years ago how was my routine as a wife and a mother.
I used to wake up at 5.30am to prepare my husband to work, cook breakfast and then prepare myself. It was all changed when I got pregnant and deliver our little girl. But then, whenever we had activities outside I had to make sure that they were all prepared first before I start to take care of myself. As years goes by, I still prepared for hubby and our little girl start to prepare by herself choosing the best set of clothing and shoes, and things got lighter in terms of house chores. But then, there’s one message that was very touchy and delicate regarding a mother. 1.) God made us mother and therefore we have to take care the whole family, train the children and make sure everything is OK….I think I fulfilled that with God’s guidance and help. 2.) We are supposed to be at home…hmmm….this thing, I failed because I am a working mom and I had other responsibilities to take care of….planning to be in future….and I need to learn to TRUST him more…..because sometimes we think we cannot ,make it but actually it is not true, thru God’s grace everything is possible.

After the message we had fruitful fellowship during lunch in the Church. I prepared Buko pandan, and some of us brought fruit salad, pumpkin cake, fruits, ice cream and there are lots of food. I felt bloated and too heavy. We went to the embassy after lunch to pick-up the documents and had dinner outside. My daughter gave me a card with a message, and that was the 4th she made for me as present for Mother’s Day.

I am grateful for all the blessings HE bestow upon us and Thank God for giving me this wonderful family.

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all Mommies, who has been working very hard to take care of the family.

I was on leave yesterday to settle something but unfortunately the systems of our embassy here in SG is not that flexible to help people....:(

Anyway, I made my day meaningful and fruitful kaya nag-scrap na lang ako for Mother's Day gift.

I made total of 20pcs. fridge magnets using stamping techniques and patch them with Bible verses. Medyo matagal na rin kasing di ako nakapag-scrap kaya, first few trials the result was not that good. I made them for this coming Sunday as a Gift for all the Mother’s in our Church who will attend the service. Last year, I made bookmark for them…

So every time they will turn to get something from their fridge there’s a encouraging WORD from GOD which can strengthen and encourage them.

Sa lahat ng mga mommy binabati ko po kayo!!!

Goodbye Friend

So many things happened last month, good, bad and sad moments….that also shocked most of us when one of our friend died suddenly without any sickness…. When I heard that news my tears burst and my heart breaks although that person was not in contact with us for quite sometime. He was joyfully taking his breakfast with colleagues and all of a sudden passed out with no reason. After few minutes of resuscitation to revive him before he even reach the hospital he was pronounce dead. What a sad news to lost a good friend.

He was actually my supplier but whenever we had technical problems, he’s just one call away….I think we are all recovered from the incident but the family of 3 who lost their dear father still in grieved and, I saw their pain. That week I am so affected, but it also shown another perspective that GOD is in control. Life is very short, we are given a chance to enjoy and live every single time to the fullest with GOD’s grace and mercy. Another thing that makes me sad was the fact that he was not saved. I can’t remember whether I had the chance to share the gospel to him but now it’s too late.

I remember after we visited his wake, the other friend asked me why do Christians don’t feel sad when somebody passed away? Here was my reply: We feel sad because we lost a friend but if that person is saved we feel happy for him because at long last the much awaited time to see the LORD and Saviour Jesus Christ has come. And that’s our future direction. 1 Thessalonians 2:19-20 For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming? For ye are our glory and joy.
We need to make our life meaningful and make sure that we treat a normal day as our last day. Only GOD knows when we will stop breathing, for my friend I am so sorry that he was taken that fast, but I know GOD has he’s reason.

productive

yehey!!!
marami akong nagawang LO last weekend kahit nahihilo ako naka 10 LO rin a day......mga simpleng LO nga lang....

konti na lang tapos ko ng ang London trip album namin....
trying to complete my daughter abc album, 2 years di pa rin matapos.....

Virus

I was down last week due to fever and dry cough, suspected that was due to environment and the food that I took from my last trip in JB. Last Wednesday, I was out for BT in JB, it was far and the journey was two hour plus before we reached the factory.

I was also surprised with the new method from immigration, we have to thumb print now as scanning, kasi nga naman baka naka wig kami eh meron wanted na hinahanap…..

I can only remember that we ate lots of pepper and spicy dishes, black pepper sotong, black pepper deer meat, duck, curry fish head and the only dish free from pepper was the vegetable. I was so tired that day, have to walk up and down as I audit the factory and need to stand for long hours. Pero kahit na pagod, I managed to performed my task completely, I remember while I was presenting the audit findings during closing meeting, I was coughing continuously but it was very dry…

Reached home about 8pm, and was shivering, feel very cold, then hubby prepared the cold towel soaked in ice and alcohol…actually di pa madali punasan ng super lamig….sabi nya it my turn…kasi last month when he was sick I did the same thing and he was mad kasi nga super lamig. But after that it was more comfortable. The following day, I thought I will be ok, but it turned out worst than the first night. This condition last until Saturday, and that is maybe because of the spicy food we ate plus the environment cold and later raining heavily…..

due to my condition, my daughter was crying that night and keep on telling me, she wil pray for me and she will take care of me....natatawa na nga si hubby kasi parang mawawala na ko kung iyakan ako......pero we told her naman na it's just a normal kind of fever and cough so she don't need to worry too much.

the next day, mc rin sya heheheh....kasi me nakitang butlig raw sa kamay but when we sent her to clinic wala naman.....masyado lang siguro na-alarm yun teacher kasi sinabi nya sa school na mommy is very sick......

This was the second time I got sick right after the bt…need to be more careful and will try not to eat too much spicy.

Shanghai Trip

I was so busy lately due to tight schedule at work, at home and even outside activity’s.
It was my first time to visit Shanghai, China and was amazed with few of their advanced technology. Dina talaga sila pahuhuli ngayon. Except from the cold weather each state has it’s own similarity.

Weather forecast from the internet before I depart SG was 16 degrees C so, I did not bring so much clothing’s since it was only for 3days. But, it was a big mistake! The weather was so cold and my blazer was not good enough to cover me….huhuhuuu…it was about 10 degrees C then. I was chilling whenever we were outside walking.

One thing common in China, everything is BIG. The buildings, malls, the factory and even the servings of food. During our last day, we went to Nanjing Road to shop for a while before we took our flight. This place was 2 hour drive from the factory and 1 hr. drive to the airport. But, because we didn’t had the chance to shop at night so we took the risk by dropping by to the Shanghai city to shop. We took our lunch on one of the Chinese restaurant and my eyes really pop-out when I saw how huge were their soup bowl and if I’m not wrong appro. 12” to 15” yun laki ng bowl….parang isang family ang kakain. Kaya inunahan ko na yung supplier ko na please order for me the smallest noodle bowl they had. And thankfully they had the normal 6” dia. Size. While we were walking on the stretched of Nanjing road I noticed something from the people around me. They were all looking at my feet, why??? At first I tried to ignore them ,maybe they were thinking how come it so white…nge…pale…..then I realized why, they were staring at me, because of all the people around I’m the ONLY one wearing an open high heels sandals and wearing a skirt where the rest are feeling so cold and all over they are fully covered….Remember I was not fully prepared…..huhh….My two buddies were laughing at me, because of this incident. My colleague, offered me his jacket on the 2nd day kasi talagang halos di ako makapagsalita habang naglalakad pagtapos naming mag-dinner.

One of the amazing experience was the Magnetic Lav train we took from the City to the airport. I have not seen a train running in 430km/hr speed and not touching the ground….the distance and the duration from city to airport took us 1hr.++ driving but that ride was only 7mins….what an wonderful experience.

I had taken few picture from this place and maybe post them later.
I tried to comeback on Thursday night although it was quite late because I do not want to miss the wonderful message on Friday.
Thank God for this trip, I have gain a lot of experience and exposure to another different culture.

what is important?

We had conversation today during lunch with my colleague regarding the education system in sg. Many people will say that we had the best education system here compare to other country but is it necessary? Yes, it is true that they are one of the best in terms of curriculum standard, but we also notice that children are more stress and did not enjoy their childhood.

According to their observation and the latest survey the numbers of children that was admitted to the mental hospital has been increased and that is due to overstress and pressurized by their parents. Their aim is to be the BEST. Some have purposely sent their children to tuition not because the child is not capable but because others did so, they have no time because busy making money and they doesn’t want to be left behind.
Many have forgotten that as parents we have the very important role to our children.
God said from the book of Deuteronomy 6:6-7 And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. Learning starts from home and not school and as parents we are responsible.

Parents should be grateful no matter what achievement our children will get. Of course, we will be happier and blessed if they have gain more but I learned from the BIBLE that with the GOD fearing character you’ll get wisdom “Proverbs 9:10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.”

There was one story in the news that the boy jump from the flat because the parents had bitten him due to the class card was lower than they expected, and so out of disappointment he wanted to end his life, what a sad story..

I remember during our school days in kindergarten and even grade school, teacher will always check the nails, ears and uniform if they were clean. So this was few things I’d taught my daughter to check before going to school. One day after school, when I asked her whether her nails was long and if yes, I will cut, she replied me” mommy, my teacher never check my nails and uniform, and then I show him that my nails is clean, but he didn’t check” all of us who heard this comment laughed and asked her what was her teacher reply, she just said nothing. (that was from the previous school)…

Then, my colleague said that 15years ago they were taught about good manners and right conduct but after the MOE change over the years, character is not part of the goal anymore.

So parent, be wise and ask GOD’s provision that we may have guide and train our children diligently with a GOD fearing character and I believe that with the right upbringing will give them wisdom and as a result they may excel in their secular studies.
Matthew 16:26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

samut-sari

Happy Chinese new year!

Missed my blog for months!

There was so many activities lately from home, work, church and even friends gathering….

Last dec2007 was full of fruitful spiritual growth after the Frasers Hill church camp, we got to know more about GOD’s WORD and provision in our life and some of the fellow brethren inside and out. The activities during camp was marvelous not mentioning the tarantula’s haunting and waterfall fun.

Christmas & New Year holidays are also remarkable. We sung a special no. during the New Year’s eve service with song Title “Ang Tanging Alay”, the first till third introduction was bloopers….hahaha…..we couldn’t get the tune from the guitar played by one of our brother in CHRIST…..then we decided not to use the guitar and then after that it was fine…..it was a different new year celebration with the meaningful beginning..

January 2008 was a busy month for work, lots of traveling and activities outside. One Saturday afternoon, we had watched the Ten Boom Christian family true story in the church and was moved on their story on how strong was their faith during trial and suffering. Thanks for their testimonies and somehow we could learned and know how GOD’s love and faithful lead us.

February came and finally I got the chance to update my blog.
Been wanting to see the sunrise at east coast for the past few attempt, and finally Thursday morning was the chance to reach there before the sun rise. We took few photos and wait till 7am at the sea side. Taken our breakfast at mcdo and later played badminton with our flat mates. We rent the bike at 9am and started to cycle all the way to the ski side back and forth thru the other side where we had stopped for a while to rest.
We reach home 2pm tired and with sun burn…..it was so hot that day…

We had the CNY party with N@WSG friends last Friday and as usual we had fun giving hong bao while kids in exchange gave us oranges. Lots of food specially the desserts…yummy…..
We had conversation and opinion for the current situation in our country…but, I guess forget about it….no matter how bad is the economy and we are politically unstable, I still believe that there’s no place like your own country…..hehehe…umasenso ka pilipinas……
