London trip

I’m back and would like to share the beautiful and amazing experience we had in LONDON during our vacation.

We always taught this place is very far and expensive but our point of view has changed after our trip. London, is a beautiful country it has the most amazing architecture I had ever seen( sa kin lang po yan ha). The structure of each building is unique and old and the Victorian design is really eye catching. There are lots of tourist spots that you can visit and you do not need to pay but you will definitely gain and learned experience and information. We arrived on Saturday afternoon after the 13hrs. flight from SG and the earlier plan was to just deliver our bags to my mom’s house and we could immediately go for a walk at Notting Hill to check the Portobello. But, we were too tired and had jetlag so we decided to take a rest and eat a yummy nilaga for dinner.

Day2 was fruitful our first pit stop was the Metropolitan Tabernacle Baptist Church (Spurgeons) at the Elephant and Castle. It was huge and we are blessed to attend their worship service and met Peter Masters in person (we didn’t had the chance to shake his hand). We then proceed to Westminster and alight in front of Westminster Abbey. The moment I saw the Big Ben I felt gratitude in my heart how LORD GOD has given us this opportunity to visit this wonderful place.(1 Th 5:18 In everything give thanks…) We took lots of photos and had our quick bite while hopping from one place to another. Lots of picture and I could remember how Angel felt when she saw the London Eye, from this day till we took the ride she was always mentioning and asking to take the ride….We also had a glance at the National Gallery to see those beautiful and huge paintings and guess what it is free….. Angel saw the box of money where you can donate 1pound for the maintenance of the place. She was so excited to donate the coins and didn’t realize that we gave her 4 pounds..hahaha…anyway it was worth to see this place. Mama brought us to Picadilly and there we bought few souvenirs. She also brought us to eat in one of the Chinese restaurant where you can eat all you can it cost us 8.50 pounds, it was ok kasi dami naman ng variety kaya lang slow eater talaga kami at laging lugi sa eat all you can…….. Went home to mama’s place and packed some of our things to check-in at the Hotel at Brent Cross.
We arrive there about 9pm and later found out that my booking was cancellllleeeed…what????? At first, I tried to be calmed and think that everything will be fine but when the reception guy was not offering us any room for the time being while he’s trying to locate my booking, then I realize that I had driven him and he became more friendlier and offered us the room for a family, it was a executive suite with Q-size bed and we could settle the issue the next morning, he also reminded us that if the booking was really cancelled we had to pay 150 pounds per night….I didn’t bother about it….all we want is a good rest…..I know that our GOD will surely handle this situation for us the next morning, as I had made all the necessary arrangement before this trip, somebody has just tested my temper and annoying me to ruin my mood….

Our day 3 of tour was OK, the weather is not as good as the day before but it was fine with minor drizzling. Had our breakfast in the Hotel, were I took a shot of my daughter while eating, I realize that she’s no longer a baby, she looked like a matured lady with a very fine moves….and her face is so bright and cool having her meal.
Mama has to work so hubby and I decided that we’ll visit the British Museum, it was a good experience for my daughter to see the different ancient cultures. The Museum was huge and there are lots of things to see, we had our lunch inside and the tour ended at 4pm. We took another bus and alight in front of the Tower Bridge, but daughter and hubby felt too cold and we decided to move and take another bus back to Kensington. We’d seen lots of pinoy’s at the business area, nagkalat talaga ang pinoy everywhere you won’t get homesick, kasi me maririnig kang nagtatagalog…..
The next pit stop was the London eye…hubby checked the entrance fee so that we could plan on next Saturday. We proceed to mom’s house and took our dinner with her. My little lady was too tired that she could hardly balance herself while sleeping on her daddy’s shoulder. We arrived at the hotel before 10pm and guess what the room were all settled….Thank GOD…HE’s surely with us every step of the way…..

Day4 was my little lady’s bday, she’s already 5 years old.
We visited another museum this time, Natural science and history museum and the V&A museum because it is just located side by side. Again the weather was cold and drizzling, sabi ng anak ko mommy,, another museum again…why they had so many museum…super dami ng tanong when we went inside the Victoria and Albert museum eh super dami kasi ng greek sculpture na puro nakahubad kaya ayun nagmadali na kaming umalis sa sobrang dami di ko pa nasasagot yun tanong meron ng kasunod.
We targeted to complete the tour by 4pm para makauwi agad since it is my little lady’s bday kaya we decided to go home na. Bought a nice and delicious cake in one of the cake shop along the busy alley near Harrods…..yun pumasok nga pala kami sa harrods and bought a toy and water bottle for her as a present. We celebrated the little lady’s bday at home together with her lola and she had open all the gifts from her lola and some of my mama’s friends….It was a happy and fruitful day and we went back to the hotel tired…

Day5 –mama was not working in the afternoon so we went out together. We walk around the Kensington Palace and visited Princess Diana’s house and her garden. Not much special or extravagant on this place but I like the nature and her huge garden where maybe she used to read books and unwind during her busy days. Mama and my little lady enjoyed watching the ducks being fed by the tourist and the squirrel just around you waiting for nuts. We proceed to oxford circus and mama bought 2 pair of clothes for my little lady I also bought her a shoes and she was really thankful. Then we took our late lunch at pizza hut. Because we are a pizza lover, in Singapore we used to order large pizza for 3 person so, when we decided to order we choose 1 large and 1 med. Thin crust pizza and we are surprised to see the med. Size is equivalent to x-large size…after lunch we felt tired and bloated…hehehe….i like the dessert they served together with that meal…yummy….

Day6 & 7- the weather was good, we bought the BIG BUS TOUR ticket near HIGH Street and took the ride from Royal Albert Hall….it was the whole day activity then we alight in front of Harrods… went back to the hotel and prepared our things to check out the next day. Day7 we moved to mom’s house in the morning and we took the river thames boat ride from Westminster and alight in front of the Tower of London. My prince and little lady had lots of photos from this tourist spot. We didn’t notice the time and unable to visit and climb inside the tower bridge.

Day8- first pit stop is the London Zoo….we took the bus from Kensal rise and headed to baker street to change for bus 274 going to London zoo. The weather is fine not raining, and we had prayed the night before to give us good weather so that we can enjoyed the walk at the zoo. Buying of ticket was not as fast as in Singapore and the cost was triple as sg zoo….but my little daughter requested this visit to her lola..and lola say “YES”…..
From the entrance I could see that it was smaller than our zoo here. We went inside the aquarium and seen few water creature, it was dark inside and not may fishes to observed. Then it came to my mind how blessed we are to experience this trip and now you could evaluate the differences and advantages of what we have in Singapore and what other countries could offer to their tourist. The tour ended after 3 hours, my little girl still insist to see all but we do not have much time…we leave the zoo at 4pm and proceeded to Notting Hill for Portobello, it was another experience to see their tiange with lots of people. I bought some t-shirts as souvenir and we tried the KING PRAWN and some pretzel garnish with chocolate syrup and sugar. After that we went back to the town area of Westminster and took the LONDON EYE ride…what an amazing view…the Parliament house and Big Ben are really wonderful, I can’t remember how many times I said THANK YOU GOD,…to this grace and it a was magnificent experience. We went home happy…but on the way home we had inquiry at the Marriott Hotel at Westminster to book the next day trip to Bath, Windsor and Stonehenge but was later found that it was fully book…so we have to change the plan..(Nothing is impossible to GOD: Luke 18:27 And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.)

Day 9: It was mom’s 51st birthday, I prepare some seafood pasta plus the ready mix cake. We had our breakfast first and went to Kilburn to buy some chocolates and some goodies. We also shop at PRIMARK and was surprise to see the clothing, it was affordable and comparable to the pricing in SG. The design was also not bad but mostly it was catered for winter season…after this we went back home again and take our lunch before we proceed to Buckingham Palace. Lots of people, we didn’t see Mr. Bean as what my little said….we took a walked all the way to St. James Park/ Palace and they feed the ducks and birds. Came out from the Horse guards and manage to take a shot with one of the Horse Guards, after taking the shot hubby noticed that my little girl was pinching her nose. We tried another shot but she do not want to remove as the place was so smelly..
The shop are all close at 7pm during winter season so we didn’t had the chance to shop at night…

Day10- coming back to SG, I realize that even the airport was too busy. It looked like our own T1 in Philippines. When we check-in our bags the lady from the counter offered us 600 euro and upgrade to business class. I was not thinking that much so I turned down her offer so when I told hubby about the offer he said “why not take the next flight so that we could experience the business class for long flight” suddenly I felt guilty for not taking her offer…..hahahahhh, maybe next time…..

These trip was really a blessing and were happy to be back in SG….on the way, both of us thinking on the next trip which maybe next year with GOD’s grace…

Thank you for the readers, hope you have learned and I had shared some information with you….
