Vacation

I’m so excited!
One more day and we will be off to go to visit London, UK. We are grateful for this wonderful blessings from GOD. Last night, we started packing our things and finished it around 2am in the morning. The weather in London is colder now according to my mom unlike two weeks ago, when she called and told us not to bring too many jackets. This time, she even told us to bring bonnet for my daughter and hubby.

We have planned to visit many places and hope to see them all provided the time and weather permits. If there will be no delay, we should be reaching Heathrow airport by 3pm and planning to walk around Notting Hill in the afternoon and visit the Portobello at night.

I will tell more stories when we reach there.
May GOD give us provisions, safety and good weather for this trip….

Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

My Little Lady

Time really flies that fast and I almost didn’t notice that my little girl is acting like a little lady. Last night, we attended a children’s party from one of my hubby’s officemate. While choosing the right dress for her, I had some choices and one by one she turned it down by saying, “mommy, I want a dress so that I look like a lady, I don’t want pants”. She chose the light pink skirt and a dark pink tube as a pair. When she tried and wore together I said wow! You really look astounding! Again, a pink sandals to match the whole attire. I was set back and thinking how many more years and she will know how to choose her own dress and I’m glad that she had learned to carry herself wearing dresses not only on Sunday but on all occasions. She only had the chance to wear pants whenever there’s outdoor activities to make her feel more comfortable.

I thank GOD for giving us such a wonderful daughter like her.
Can’t resist not to take her picture that night.

Zoo Trip with Children Ministry

I voluntered to assist the children from our church from their trip to the Zoo yesterday. We started with the word of prayer (guidance and good weather) and some bible stories how GOD created those animals(by Word alone), when and what day it was created. While the camp master (Bro Chai Heng) was speaking the devil destructed the assembly and there's a show with a very loud music. They sung at least 4 songs and it was really hard to catch children's attention when they are destructed by a wordly songs.

The journey started at about 11am and the whether was slightly drizzling. We called it a blessing as our Heavenly Father do not want us to feel too hot so he showered us with a little water and a cloudy sky. We had our lunch after the elephant show as some of the children was already hungry. Sis Felicia brought fried noodles and they bought chicken nuggets. The night before I baked cheese cupcake and sprinkle them with different toppings, chocolate chips, hersheys chocolate and cheese. The most famous flavor for them of course was the chocolate chips. We divided the group into 3 groups and name them, alligator, bear and coconut...ha.ha.ha.....the group C was the older children and they were behind to watch the youngest group Bear.

The tour ends at 3pm, they were all tired and some are disappointed to see the polar bear sleeping. But they were all thankful to experience this wonderful trip....the teacher's told them watch out for the next trip which will be in Sentosa with God's grace by end of this year...probably.....

It is good to see these children happy and enjoyed watching those animals....

I was tiring but worthwhile serving God thru this small thing. I remember what the Lord Jesus Christ says on Matthew 19:14 But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.

1 Thessalonians 5:18 In every thing give thanks:
for this is the will of God
in Christ Jesus concerning you.

Memory Verse

I was planning to scrap tonight and suddenly it pops-up in my mind to journal those memory verses that my daughter has memorized from the past few months.
It has been a routine and norm for her that before she sleep she has to recite and tell us these verses that she had learned from us, school and sunday school:

Ephesians 6:1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord:
for this is right.

Psalms 34:1-10 (A Psalm of David, when he changed his behaviour before
Abimelech; who drove him away, and he departed.)
1 - I will bless the LORD at all times:
his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
2 - My soul shall make her boast in the LORD:
the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.
3 - O magnify the LORD with me,
and let us exalt his name together.
4 - I sought the LORD, and he heard me,
and delivered me from all my fears.
5 - They looked unto him, and were lightened:
and their faces were not ashamed.
6 - This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him,
and saved him out of all his troubles.
7 - The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him,
and delivereth them.
8 - O taste and see that the LORD is good:
blessed is the man that trusteth in him.
9 - O fear the LORD, ye his saints:
for there is no want to them that fear him.
10 - The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger:
but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing.

Proverbs 18:24 A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly:
and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.

Ephesians 6:11 Put on the whole armour of God,
that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

Psalms 112:5 A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth:
he will guide his affairs with discretion.

Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Matthew 5:3-9 (Sermon on the Mount)
3 - Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
4 - Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
5 - Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
6 - Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness:
for they shall be filled.
7 - Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
8 - Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
9 - Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

These are some of the verses that she knows and I will use it on one of my LO this week...

P.S.
We truly thank God that at the early stage my daughter knows some of this verses. I believe that she will accumulate more verses before she reached 12years of age. Me and my husband truly believe on what King Solomon said on his Proverbs 22:6 (Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old he will not depart from it.)

He shared to me the preaching he heard during Angel's program about the child's character. That most of the parents are aiming for their kids to have an excellent grade from their report card (which is not bad) but neglecting the most important thing which is the character. Most of the well known person around the world are intelligent but doesn't have character. The examples that was given is like Bill Clinton which is rich and intelligent but doesn't have character when his reputation was torn assunder due to what he did. Other's like the CEO's of other big company in the US who were accused of fraud. They were intelligent but doesn't have a character. The character of God fearing person. This is what we want with our daughter and not the Ace from her report card. Wether we like it or not we will be living her in due times but our heart has no worries since she learn how to walk and fear God.

We can not train a person when they are in their secondary onwards. That's why King Solomon said "...train up a child". A child age started from 2years old to 6years old. And thru daily prayer, God will surely help us in building her a God fearing character.

We are glad as well that sometimes she remind us to pray before we went out from the door of our house. She remind us that she haven't prayed yet before she went to sleep. She is telling us some characters that will not please our Lord Jesus.
