I was so busy lately due to tight schedule at work, at home and even outside activity’s.
It was my first time to visit Shanghai, China and was amazed with few of their advanced technology. Dina talaga sila pahuhuli ngayon. Except from the cold weather each state has it’s own similarity.
Weather forecast from the internet before I depart SG was 16 degrees C so, I did not bring so much clothing’s since it was only for 3days. But, it was a big mistake! The weather was so cold and my blazer was not good enough to cover me….huhuhuuu…it was about 10 degrees C then. I was chilling whenever we were outside walking.
One thing common in China, everything is BIG. The buildings, malls, the factory and even the servings of food. During our last day, we went to Nanjing Road to shop for a while before we took our flight. This place was 2 hour drive from the factory and 1 hr. drive to the airport. But, because we didn’t had the chance to shop at night so we took the risk by dropping by to the Shanghai city to shop. We took our lunch on one of the Chinese restaurant and my eyes really pop-out when I saw how huge were their soup bowl and if I’m not wrong appro. 12” to 15” yun laki ng bowl….parang isang family ang kakain. Kaya inunahan ko na yung supplier ko na please order for me the smallest noodle bowl they had. And thankfully they had the normal 6” dia. Size. While we were walking on the stretched of Nanjing road I noticed something from the people around me. They were all looking at my feet, why??? At first I tried to ignore them ,maybe they were thinking how come it so white…nge…pale…..then I realized why, they were staring at me, because of all the people around I’m the ONLY one wearing an open high heels sandals and wearing a skirt where the rest are feeling so cold and all over they are fully covered….Remember I was not fully prepared…..huhh….My two buddies were laughing at me, because of this incident. My colleague, offered me his jacket on the 2nd day kasi talagang halos di ako makapagsalita habang naglalakad pagtapos naming mag-dinner.
One of the amazing experience was the Magnetic Lav train we took from the City to the airport. I have not seen a train running in 430km/hr speed and not touching the ground….the distance and the duration from city to airport took us 1hr.++ driving but that ride was only 7mins….what an wonderful experience.
I had taken few picture from this place and maybe post them later.
I tried to comeback on Thursday night although it was quite late because I do not want to miss the wonderful message on Friday.
Thank God for this trip, I have gain a lot of experience and exposure to another different culture.
